The forecast

Early this morning I turned on the news hoping to catch a glimpse of the forecast. Jackson, half-asleep & rubbing his eyes, walked into our bedroom & asked what I was doing. I told him I wanted to catch the forecast before the Today Show started. The conversation continued:

Jackson: Why?
Me: To see if it's going to rain, so I know how to dress you for school.
Jackson: Well I know how to check that!
Me: oh, you do?

Jackson then walked over to the window, pulled up the shade & said "just look out the window mommy, that's the only way to know if it's raining!"

Meteorology degree be damned. The kid was right. :)
